NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team returned to action, falling to Hamilton on Saturday and Brown on Sunday.
Conn hung tough with visiting Hamilton, but ultimately fell 6-3 on Saturday from the Conn Squash Courts. The Camels started strong picking up wins at both first and second singles, as Kendry Navas (Cartagena, Colombia) and Aarushi Reddy (Delray Beach, Fla.) won 3-0 and 3-1 respectively. However, Conn was only able to claim one more win, as Ariana Michaca (Bronx, N.Y.) picked up a five-set win over Lily Spencer at fifth singles.
Conn nearly picked up a win on Sunday, falling just short, losing 5-4 at Brown. The Camels claimed four straight victories from fourth singles down to seventh singles, as Miranda Median (Houston, Texas), Michaca, Kimberly Lucero (New York, N.Y.), and Sienna Malone (New York, N.Y.) all picked up wins. However, Conn dropped the final two matches of the day to fall 5-4.
Conn (3-10, 0-7 NESCAC) returns to action on Saturday as the Camels travel to Amherst, Mass. to take on Middlebury at 3:00 p.m.
