4x400 Relay Sets School Record as WTF Competes at Middlebury Invite

BOSTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's track and field team had a strong day, competing at the Middlebury New England Small College Invite at the Track at New Balance.

60 Meters

  • Blessing Kieh (Monrovia, Liberia) claimed victory with a time of 7.76 earning NE D3 qualification.

200 Meters

  • Kieh finished third with a time of 25:88 earning NE D3 qualification.

400 Meters

  • Alexis Melvin (Wilmington, Mass.) finished 16th with a time of 1:01.16 setting a NE D3 minimum qualifying mark.

800 Meters

  • Alexa Estes (Virginia Beach, Va.) claimed victory with a time of 2:12.43 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Lilla Kate Tucker (Marietta, Ga.) finished second with a time of 2:17.80 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • April Schilling (Amherst, Mass.) finished third with a time of 2:17.80 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Liz Freeman (Maynard, Mass.) finished 13th with a time of 2:24.34 setting a NE D3 minimum qualifying mark.

  • Caroline Graziani (Concord, Mass.) finished 14th with a time of 2:24.58 setting a NE D3 minimum qualifying mark.

Mile

  • Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.) claimed victory with a time of 4:55.74 earning NE D3 qualification.

3000 Meters

  • Violet Lowney (Medfield, Mass.) finished 10th with a time of 10:57.11.

4x400 Relay

  • The group of Alina Newman (Santa Monica, Calif.), Schilling, Tucker, and Estes finished second with an indoor school record time of 4:03.35.

4x800 Relay

  • The group of McDonough, Abby Fernald (Avon, Conn.), Graziani, and Freeman finished second with a time of 9:45.21.

Pole Vault

  • Anna Clauson (Readfield, Maine) finished 10th, clearing a height of 2.10m.

Triple Jump

  • Brenna O'Brien (North Andover, Mass.) finished eighth with a jump of 10.10m.

Conn returns to action on Friday as the Camels make the short trek to the Coast Guard Academy for the CGA Invitational.
