Kieh Sets School Record in 60 Meters as WTF Competes in Springfield

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Blessing Kieh (Monrovia, Liberia) set the school record in the 60 meters as the Connecticut College women's track and field team competed at the Springfield College Triangle Classic.

60 Meters

  • Kieh claimed victory with a school record time of 7.55 earning NE D3 qualification.

200 Meters

600 Meters

  • Katie Keating (Dorchester, Mass.) finished seventh with a time of 1:44.34.

1000 Meters

  • Liz Freeman (Maynard, Mass.) finished third with a time of 3:08.80 setting a NE D3 minimum qualifying mark.

  • Caroline Graziani (Concord, Mass.) finished fifth with a time of 3:12.49 setting a NE D3 minimum qualifying mark.

  • Juliet Provost (Seekonk, Mass.) finished sixth with a time of 3:12.84 setting a NE D3 minimum qualifying mark.

  • Lea Adelman (Natick, Mass.) finished eighth with a time of 3:16.67.

  • Greta Schmitt (Hamburg, N.Y.) finished ninth with a time of 3:18.09.

  • Cleo Kilpatrick (Minneapolis, Minn.) finished 10th with a time of 3:18.14.

3000 Meters

  • Kiera Tallas (Fountain Valley, Calif.) claimed victory with a time of 9:54.10 earning NE D3 qualification.

  • Mary Lonergan (Andover, Mass.) finished sixth with a time of 11:07.73.

5000 Meters

  • Gabbie Mogavero (West Springfield, Mass.) finished fifth with a time of 20:43.43.

4x400 Relay

  • The group of Melvin, Keating, Maddy Plotnick (Brookline, Mass.), and Graziani finished third with a time of 4:18.98.

Triple Jump

  • Brenna O'Brien (North Andover, Mass.) finished eight with a jump of 10.04m.

Weight Throw

  • Kate Stone (Audubon, Pa.) finished seventh with a throw of 12.72m.

Pentathlon

  • Anabelle Orth (Augusta, Maine) finished fourth, scoring 1985 points.

Conn returns to action next weekend as the Camels take part in the New England Division III Championships beginning Friday in Boston.
