Men's Squash Downed by Middlebury, Beats Vassar on Senior Day

NEW LONDON, Conn.-- The Connecticut College men's squash team closed out the regular season, falling to Middlebury on Saturday, before defeating Vassar on Sunday.

Conn came up short on Saturday, falling to Middlebury 8-1. The lone win for the Camels came at eighth singles where Arman Sana (Richmond, Va.) picked up a win after Ronin Kaplan retired from the match.

Conn bounced back on Sunday, defeating Vassar 9-0 as the Camels celebrated senior day. Vassar defaulted at ninth singles, before Conn won every other match. Henry Pelletier (West Hartford, Conn.), Adam Elkaliouby (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Noah Fish (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.), Osiris Perez (Bronx, N.Y.), and Sana won in straight set victories. The other three wins came via 3-1 decisions, with Sid Rewari (Mumbai, India), Hayden Okurowski (Concord, Mass.), and Peter Russell (Lancaster, Pa.) earning the victories.

Conn (5-10, 1-7 NESCAC) returns to action for the CSA Team Championships in Philadelphia, Pa. beginning on February 27.
