BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Connecticut College women's track and field team wrapped up the 2026 Indoor NCAA Championships, with Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.) running in the final of the mile.
McDonough hit the track at 5:00 p.m. opening up on the inside waterfall at the start. Through 200 meters McDonough was sixth, before dropping to the back of the pack, biding her time. McDonough moved up to ninth at the 1000 meter mark, before making her move to sixth with one lap to go. It was a battle between sixth and ninth, as the four finished .26 seconds apart, with McDonough crossing the line at 4:50.29 to finish ninth and earn Second Team All-American honors.
Conn opens up the outdoor season next week as the Camels travel to Middletown, Conn. for the Swanson Spring Classic hosted by Wesleyan.
