NEW LONDON, Conn. – A total of seven members of the Connecticut College men's and women's basketball programs were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams on Tuesday.

Three players were recognized on the women's side, with repeat selection Mia Xerras (Charlotte, N.C.) being joined by first-time honorees Catie Hurley (Walpole, Mass.) and Sydney Marshall (Enfield, Conn.). On the men's team, RJ Casey (Nashville, Tenn.) earned the honor for the second time in his career while Garrett Clar (Victor, N.Y.), PJ Johnson Jr. (Marietta, Ga.) and James LaFrance (Guilford, Conn.) received the distinction for the first time. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

To be an Academic All-District® honoree, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore at their institution, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above, and have played at least 90 percent or started 66 percent of their team's contests.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's and women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in April.
