Three Camels Score Points for Men's T&F on Day One of NESCAC Championships

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's track and field team kicked off the 2026 NESCAC Championships by scoring nine points on day one at Williams College.

Anders Larson (Concord, N.H.) got the day started for Conn, competing in the pole vault. Larson entered the event at 4.30m clearing that and 4.45m on his first attempt. With the bar raised to 4.60m Larson cleared the height on his third attempt, before falling at 4.75m to finish seventh and earn the Camels two points.

Robert Blandburg (Kilgore, Texas) was next up for Conn, making his NESCAC debut in the high jump. He started strong, clearing both 1.77m and 1.82m on his first jump. Blandburg then cleared 1.87m on his second attempt to secure himself a top-five finish. The first-year came close to clearing 1.92m, but ultimately was unsuccessful, claiming fifth place and four points for the Camels.

Ellis Iurilli-Hough (Melrose, Mass.) was the final scorer for Conn on day one. Iurilli-Hough made his debut in the 10,000 meters with a strong run to finish sixth with a time of 31:09.11, just two seconds behind Seamus McDonough for fifth place.

Conn returns to action tomorrow morning, for day two of the NESCAC Championships, where the majority of the track events will be run, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
