Kieh Wins 200 Meters to Lead Women's T&F to Sixth Place at NESCAC Championships

Estes, McDonough, and Tallas Earn All-NESCAC

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Blessing Kieh (Monrovia, Liberia) won the 200 meter dash, while adding a second place finish in the 100 meter dash to lead the Connecticut College women's track and field team to a sixth place finish on 53 points at the 2026 NESCAC Track and Field Championships hosted by Williams College.

Kiera Tallas (Fountain Valley, Calif.) got the day started with a bang for Conn. Tallas took an early lead, holding off the top-seed Charlene Peng for about 1500 meters. Peng finally got past, but Tallas hung with Peng stride-for-stride. Tallas crossed the line just under three seconds behind Peng, to claim second place and eight points, breaking her own school record with a time of 10:35.48 to earn All-NESCAC honors.

Next on the track for the Camels was Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.)The two-time defending champion got out to a strong start, holding off top-seed Kate Tuttle from Williams for much of the race. However, Tuttle got the edge on McDonough on the final corner, as McDonough finished second with a time of 4:26.70, claiming eight points and earning All-NESCAC honors.

Kieh made her way to the track for the first time on the day, racing in the 100 meter dash. Kieh went toe-to-toe with Simisola Lawal of Tufts, but came up just short at the line, finishing in second place with a time of 11.87, picking up another eight points and earning All-NESCAC honors.

Alexa Estes (Virginia Beach, Va.) added another second place for Conn, this time in the 800 meters. Estes held second place throughout the race, before holding off Piper Lentz, crossing the line at 2:10.48 to earn All-NESCAC honors and eight points.

Alina Newman (Santa Monica, Calif.) joined the scoring in the 400 meter hurdles, tallying five points on a fourth place finish. Newman finished strong on the final straight, overcoming Graca Bila to cross the line with a time of 1:03.98.

Kieh returned to the track for the 200 meter dash finals, claiming victory and 10 points for Conn. Kieh led the entire way, and held off a late push from Lawal to secure her first career NESCAC title with a time of 24.18.

Conn will return to action on Friday as the Camels travel to Springfield, Mass. for day one of the 2026 New England Division III Championships.
