NEW LONDON, Conn. – A pair of Connecticut College men's lacrosse players were among those honored by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association on Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Liam Doherty (Winchester, Mass.) and sophomore Henry Dumler (Mercer Island, Wash.) were named to the NEILA All-New England Honorable Mention Team. Both earned the distinction for the first time in their careers.

The duo anchored Conn's defense all season long, with each recording 34 ground balls while playing in all 14 games. Dumler posted a team-high 19 caused turnovers for the year while Doherty chipped in 13 in his final season.

Conn finished the season with an overall record of 5-9 (1-9 NESCAC). 

All-New England nominees are submitted by their coaches and the teams are voted by coaches within their respective divisions. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own players.
