NEW LONDON, Conn. – Two members of the Connecticut College men's lacrosse team were among those honored by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association on Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomores
Andrew Rainville (Watertown, Conn.) and
Henry Dumler (Mercer Island, Wash.) were named to the USILA All-America Honorable Mention Team. Both earned the distinction for the first time in their careers. Players selected for All-America honors were nominated by their coach and then received votes from the All-America Committee.
"I am very excited for both Henry and Andrew to receive this great honor so early in their careers," said head coach
Jim Nagle. "The future is bright for the program with these two building blocks as our foundation."
Rainville started and played all 14 games in his second season with the Camels, leading the team in scoring with 34 goals and 14 assists for 48 points. He found the back of the cage in 13 of 14 contests and recorded nine multi-goal games and seven hat tricks.
Dumler anchored Conn's defense all season long, recording 34 ground balls while starting all 14 games. He also posted a team-high 19 caused turnovers for the year.
Conn finished the season with an overall record of 5-9 (1-9 NESCAC).
