Women's Track and Field Competes at NEICAAA and Williams

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's track and field team competed at two meets over the weekend, running at the NEICAAA Championships hosted by Stonehill College and the Farley Inter Regional hosted by Williams College.

AT NEICAAA

100 Meters

  • Blessing Kieh (Monrovia, Liberia) finished third with a time of 12.03.

400 Meters

  • Alexis Melvin (Wilmington, Mass.) finished eighth with a time of 58.69.

1500 Meters

  • Alexa Estes (Virginia Beach, Va.) claimed victory with a time of 4:31.57.

  • Kiera Tallas (Fountain Valley, Calif.) finished second with a time of 4:33.69.

400 Hurdles

  • Alina Newman (Santa Monica, Calif.) finished eighth with a time of 1:05.14.

  • Liz Freeman (Maynard, Mass.) finished ninth with a time of 1:06.21.

Steeplechase

  • Annika Hegde (New York, N.Y.) finished seventh with a time of 12:22.77.

  • Lain Potter (Wareham, Mass.) finished 10th with a time of 13:20.99.

AT WILLIAMS

5000 Meters

  • Grace McDonough (Londonderry, N.H.) claimed victory with a time of 16:33.13.

Conn returns to action on Thursday as the Camels travel to Cambridge, Mass. to compete in the MIT Final qualifier.
