NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's lacrosse program has earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad laurels.
Every school with a team grade point average of a 3.0 or higher received the recognition, and the Camels easily surpassed the standard by recording a 3.675 GPA.
Additionally, the Camels placed 13 student-athletes – Casey Chesner, Kate Coughlin, Ava Gershon, Elizabeth Gill, Brogan Holbrough, Campbell Johnston, Hadley Levendusky, Emma McDonnell, Hannah Merritt, Hannah Prescott, Suzie Smith, Sophia Stevens, and Ava Virga – on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. This is the second consecutive year that Chesner, Coughlin, Gill, Holbrough, McDonnell, and Smith have earned the honor. Student-athletes who are a junior, senior, or graduate student and have a cumulative GPA of a 3.50 or better received the prestigious recognition.
Connecticut College graduated nine seniors and is slated to return 14 letterwinners next season.
