NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's volleyball team received the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Thursday morning.

A total of 1,432 collegiate and high school teams were recognized from across the nation, including 233 in NCAA Division III. To earn the honor, programs must maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).

The Camels, who were honored for the eighth straight year and 17th time overall, finished with a 3.66 GPA for the academic year. Conn was also one of 46 Division III women's teams that received the additional honor of Team Academic Honor Roll, which celebrates programs in the top 20 percent of GPAs for their division.

"It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs."
