POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Connecticut College women's tennis team opened the 2026-27 season at the Vassar Scramble over the weekend.

The Camels played five rounds of matches over the three-day scramble, facing off against teams from Vassar, NYU, New Paltz and Hamilton. Sunday's action was moved indoors due to weather.

The doubles squad of Maya Kowalska and Sydney Concepcion picked up a pair of wins at the top flight, defeating the top duos from both Vassar and New Paltz. Kowalska also teamed with Mary Ella Prendergast to nab a win over NYU via retirement.

In singles action, Conn came away with wins in four flights against New Paltz. Kowalska and Prendergast were victorious at the top two positions while newcomers Andrea Bilic and Marcella Hamm triumphed at six and seven.

Conn will wrap up the fall season at the Springfield Invite on Saturday, October 17.
