DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's cross country team finished 11th out of 32 teams at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday morning at the Robert Dowd Cross Country Course.

The Camels hung tough in a competitive field that included programs from NCAA Division I, II and III. Conn finished the day with 319 points, trailing only one Division III program. Stonehill College placed four runners in the top-10 and bested the field with a team score of 35 points. 

Brendan Capodanno (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) was low stick for the Camels, finishing 30th overall in a career-best time of 25:34.35 over the 8K course. Ronan Staab (White Plains, N.Y.) also clocked a sub-26 minute time (25:50.33) and finished 44th overall.

John Disturco (New Canaan, Conn.), Carter Stevenson (Kent, Ohio) and Tristen McDonough (Lincoln, R.I.) also scored points for the Camels. Disturco placed 78th (26:22.44) while Stevenson took 92nd (26:38.44) and McDonough crossed in 96th (26:41.04). Alex Santos Acosta (West Hempstead, N.Y.) and Josh Barzilai (Princeton, N.J.) rounded out Conn's top-7 and finished 103rd and 121st, respectively.

Conn will next compete at the D3 Pre-National Invitational on Saturday, October 3 in Northfield, MN.
