DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's cross country team finished fifth out of 33 teams at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday morning at the Robert Dowd Cross Country Course.

The Camels held their own in a competitive field that included programs from NCAA Division I, II and III. Conn finished the day with 173 points—the lowest score by any Division III program—and placed three runners in the top-10. Boston University bested the field with a team score of 63 points.

The trio of Kiera Tallas (Fountain Valley, Calif.), April Schilling (Amherst, Mass.) and Abby Williams (Waterville, Maine) all clocked sub-22 minute times over the 6K course. Tallas finished fourth overall in a time of 21:26.67 and finished six seconds behind race winner Natalie Persson from Bryant University. Schilling posted a personal-best time of 21:36.69 to place seventh while Willliams crossed in 10th in 21:50.52.

Juliet Provost (Seekonk, Mass.) and Maddalena Figueroa-Starr (Holyoke, Mass.) completed the scoring for the Camels. Provost recorded a personal-best time of 23:19.64 to finish 67th while Figueroa-Starr crossed in 23:43.06 to take 89th. Hannah Petersen (Brookline, Mass.) and Mary Lonergan (Andover, Mass.) rounded out Conn's top-7 and finished 94th and 102nd, respectively.

Conn will next compete at the D3 Pre-National Invitational on Saturday, October 3 in Northfield, MN.
