Men's Tennis Trio Competes at ITA Regionals

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Three members of the Connecticut College men's tennis team competed at the ITA New England Regionls on Friday on the campus of Middlebury College.

Nikhil Agarwal (San Mateo, Calif.) and Noa Hoshino (Tokyo, Japan) teamed up in doubles action and also competed in A singles, while Kristian Brondmo (Haslum, Norway) took part in the B singles draw.

Hoshino and Agarwal posted an 8-2 victory against a squad from Williams College in the opening round. The duo then put up a fight against Bowdoin College in the second round, eventually falling by an 8-6 margin.

In singles, Hoshino advanced to the second round with a straight sets win over Lesley University's William McGuire. He then fell to Bowdoin's Simon Catazaro in the second round. 
Conn will next host Endicott College on Saturday, October 10 at 11:00 a.m.

Second Round: Codd/Stubbeman (Bowdoin) def. Agarwal/Hoshino (Conn) 8-6

A Singles
First Round: Noah Lewis (Middlebury) def. Nikhil Agarwal (Conn) 6-1, 6-1
First Round: Noa Hoshino (Conn) def. William McGuire (Lesley) 6-2, 6-1
Second Round: Simon Catazaro (Bowdoin) def. Noa Hoshino (Conn) 6-0, 6-2

B Singles
Second Round: Jonah Stolte (Brandeis) def. Kristian Brondmo (Conn) 8-2
