NEW LONDON, Conn. – Connecticut College first-year attacker
Andrew Rose (Dresher, Pa.) was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Newcomer of the Week as announced by the league on Monday evening.
Rose helped the Camels to a pair of wins at the W&J Invitational (Sept. 5-6). Rose opened with one goal against Division-II Gannon, before closing out Saturday with four assists and two steals in a 14-12 win over Penn State Behrend. On Sunday against McKendree, Rose chipped in two assists and one steal, before wrapping up the weekend with one goal and two assists in a 15-8 win over the host Washington & Jefferson. He totaled two goals, nine assists, and three steals for the weekend.
Rose is the second Camel to earn Newcomer of the Week honors after
Laird Welch claimed the honor last week.
Conn (2-4) returns to action after a week off on Saturday Sept. 19th with games against Iona and Wheaton beginning at 12:00 p.m. in Lott Natatorium.
