Athletic Facilities

Overlooking the Thames River and Long Island Sound, Connecticut College's athletic facilities provide unique and scenic views of the school's picturesque waterfront campus. In addition to serving all 28 varsity sports, the facilities are open to Connecticut College students, faculty, staff, alumni and their guests for recreational purposes. They are also used to host numerous camps and clinics during the academic year and throughout the summer.

Public Skate beginning 4/10

Friday's - 8 pm -10:30 pm

Sunday's - 10 am -12 pm

Stick & Puck beginning 4/4

Saturday's - 9 am - 11 am

Safety Regulations

Public Skate

No hockey sticks, pucks, or organized play

No figure skating maneuvers that endanger others

No racing, rough play, or horseplay

Skate in the same direction as designated

Beginners should remain near boards

No food or drink on the ice

Staff have full authority to remove individuals not complying with rules.

Stick & Puck

Helmets and gloves required for all participants - full gear recommended.

No games or scrimmages

All ages/skill levels share the ice unless otherwise specified.

Follow all staff instructions at all times.

No horseplay, racing, or reckless skating.

No checking or physical contact.

No coaching large groups unless pre-approved

Be aware of beginners

Helmet, gloves, stick, and pucks will not be provided

  • Public Skate $5 entry, $3 skate rental
  • Public Stick and puck $20 entry, $3 skate rental
  • Goalies skate for free - full gear required
