David Woodford joins the Connecticut College men's hockey program as an assistant coach for the 2023-24 season.
Woodford joins the Camels after spending the past five years working with the Merrimack College men's ice hockey team. A native of Portland, Maine, he spent his first four years as the video and analytical coordinator for the Warriors. He was responsible for setting up video during road games and filming practices, while also assisting in post-game analytical breakdowns with the coaching staff.
In his final year, as a graduate assistant with Merrimack, Woodford continued his role as the video and analytical coordinator, but added assisting in on-ice practice, individual on-ice skill sessions, assisted in the planning of road trips, and overlooked replays and challenges, relaying information to the Warriors bench during games.
Woodford graduated with a degree in business management in 2022, before getting his master's in communications in 2023, both from Merrimack.
