Peter Carli has been the goalkeeper coach since 1993 under the direction of previous head coaches Bill Lessig and Kenny Murphy. He has most notably mentored AJ Marcucci, who has been named an NCAA All-American as well as the NESCAC Player of the Year and NESCAC Rookie of the Year over the last three seasons.

Carli played in his first soccer match as a high school (Bacon Academy-Colchester, Conn.) senior at Bacon Academy in nearby Colchester. He then played collegiately for a season at the University of Connecticut in 1977 and at Jacksonville in 1980. Carli was signed in 1981 by the Carolina Lightnin' of the American Soccer League and traded to the New England Sharks. Later that year, he had a two-month trial with West Ham United of the English First Division.

Off the pitch, Carli enjoys a successful professional career as a real estate developer in the Colchester area.
