Hannah Early Vaughn is in her first season as an assistant women's basketball coach at Connecticut College in 2020-21. She will be responsible for assisting Smith with all aspects of the program with a primary emphasis on the training and development of the Camel post players.
Vaughn comes to Connecticut College after beginning her professional career in legal resources with the National Association of College and University Attorneys in Washington, D.C. The organization enhances legal assistance to colleges and universities by educating attorneys and administrators on the nature of campus legal issues when they arise.
In this position, Vaughn served as the hub of the legal resources department which included managing the schedules, timelines, and other administrative tasks for four attorneys. She also designed and coordinated the delivery of live and online programming for the organization which reached 4,000 attendees per year.
Prior to beginning her professional career, Vaughn was a standout Division I student-athlete on the women’s basketball team at Davidson College in North Carolina. She was an all-conference selection who ended her career ranked fourth all-time in scoring, netting 1,406 points, and set a program record with 231 3-point field goals made. Furthermore, she finished her career ranked seventh in total rebounds (650) and was named the winner of the Rebecca E. Stimson Award as the institution’s female athlete of the year.
A native of Huntersville, North Carolina, Vaughn earned her bachelor’s degree in Religion and Political Science from Davidson College in 2016.
