Kiah Strickland enters her first season as assistant coach of the Connecticut College women's cross-country team and assistant coach of the men's and women's track and field teams for jumps and multis.
Prior to joining the Camels, Strickland spent the last two years as the Head Coach of the Montville Public Schools High School track and field team. During her time at Montville, Strickland had one athlete win an individual conference championship, while the girls track and field team won the conference as a whole.
A native of  Uncasville, Conn., Strickland won 11 varsity letters at Montville High School in track and field, earning All-State in javelin. After high school, she continued to compete in track and field at Southern Connecticut State. As a sophomore Strickland earned All-Region honors in javelin and heptathlon, before adding All-Region honors in javelin and pentathlon as a junior, while being crowned NE10 Champion in the javelin.
Strickland graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Human Performance and Wellness from Southern Connecticut State in 2020.
