Laura Nadelberg

  • Title
Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach (Throws)

Event Groups: Men's & Women's Throws

Laura Nadelberg is a 2008 graduate of Connecticut College. She was a track & field team captain and received the team’s Unsung Hero award in her senior year, when she also earned All-New England honors in the javelin.

Since her graduation, Nadelberg has become an avid distance runner and has competed in a number of 5k road races. She assists with women's cross country in the fall before turning her attention to the team’s throwers for the track & field season. Her throwers have scored significant points for the Camels in the NESCAC Championship and the New England Division III Championship each spring.

Lauren Kennedy '17 was ranked among the top 30 javelin throwers in the nation in her final two years, and Aly Saperstein '18 was ranked 24th in the country and was the NESCAC champion in the event during her senior campaign. In addition, Olivia Vener ’18 finished right behind Saperstein to give the Camels a valuable 1-2 javelin finish at the 2018 NESCAC Championships. Four of the top seven men and six of the top ten women javelin throwers in program history have been coached by Nadelberg over the past 10 years.

Nadelberg was also instrumental in helping Koko Mensah ’20 (shot put, discus) and Emily Senatore ’19 (discus, hammer) to multiple NESCAC and New England Division III titles during their careers. Mensah made three appearances at the NCAA Championship in the shot put, including earning indoor All-America honors in her senior year. Emma Wheeler ’24 broke the school record in the heptathlon last spring and qualified for the NCAA Championship in large part because of her prowess in the throwing events. Wheeler recorded the third-best shot put mark in school history during the 2023 outdoor season.
