Kenzie Lancaster

Kenzie Lancaster began her first season as an assistant women’s ice hockey coach at Connecticut College in 2019-20. She is responsible for assisting head coach Kristin Steele with all aspects of the program.

Lancaster joins the Camels after an outstanding four-year playing career at Quinnipiac University, where she tallied 66 career points on 22 goals and 44 assists while appearing in 133 contests. The forward served as an assistant captain during her senior campaign and led the team in scoring with four goals and 21 assists for 25 points. During her career, the Bobcats won the program’s first league championship and advanced as far as the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division I Tournament.

Aside from emerging to become one of Quinnipiac’s top scoring threats as an upperclassmen, Lancaster was heavily involved with a multitude of leadership and service endeavors. She served as the program’s community service coordinator, which involved overseeing a scheduling over 40 community service activities each year, and spearheaded the team’s partnership with the “Do it for Daron” campaign to spread awareness and fund mental health initiatives throughout the Quinnipiac community.

For her efforts, Lancaster was the recipient of the Sarah Devens Award as well as the Mandi Schwartz Student-Athlete of the Year Award in 2019. The Sarah Devens Award is given as a joint honor between ECAC Hockey and Hockey East to a player who “demonstrates leadership and commitment both on and off the ice,” while the Mandi Schwartz Award is the highest honor given to an ECAC Hockey student-athlete annually for excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, and community service.

A native of Waxhaw, N.C., Lancaster graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2019. She was a Dean’s List student and a member of the Psi Chi Psychology Honor Society.
