Camilla Johnson joined the Connecticut College rowing staff in fall 2026 after graduating from Skidmore College with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Education. A four-year member of Skidmore’s varsity women’s rowing team, she rowed in the First Boat throughout all four years, helped double the team size, and served as team captain. A nationally-ranked rower, she was also recognized as a Second Team All-American.
Originally from Massachusetts, Johnson began rowing at Brooks School, where she developed her passion for the sport before continuing her career at Skidmore. While at Brooks, Johnson stroked the boat that set the fastest time in program history.
Johnson’s experience as a collegiate athlete has shaped her approach to coaching, with an emphasis on mutual respect, teamwork, leadership, accountability and helping student-athletes to grow both on and off the water. She is excited to work with the Connecticut College rowing program and to share the experiences and lessons she gained throughout her own rowing career with the next generation of student-athletes.
