Daphne Smith Michie ’21 is returning to her alma mater to begin her first season as the assistant coach for the Connecticut College women’s rowing team this year. She also works in recruiting for both the women’s and men’s programs.
Joining the team as a walk-on during her sophomore year, Michie was selected as part of the NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team in the spring of 2021 and the NESCAC All-Academic Team twice in 2020 and 2021.
A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Michie values kindness, integrity, and the power of creating and achieving shared goals. She graduated from Connecticut College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Classics, and she was part of the Bodies & Embodiment Pathway.
