Daphne Smith Michie ’21 returns for her fifth season as the assistant coach for the Connecticut College women’s rowing program in 2025-26. She also works in recruiting for both the women’s and men’s programs.
Michie joined the Camels as a walk-on during her sophomore year at Conn and was a three-year letterwinner and a team captain as a senior. She earned NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team honors in the spring of 2021 and was also a two-time NESCAC All-Academic Team selection (2020, 2021).
A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Michie values kindness, integrity, and the power of creating and achieving shared goals. She graduated from Connecticut College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Classics, and she was part of the Bodies & Embodiment Pathway.
