The Camels started putting themselves on the map under Edmed’s direction by finishing with a 16-10 record and making their inaugural NESCAC Tournament appearance in 2005. Caitlin Tomaska ’09 was also named the NESCAC Rookie of the Year that fall and helped set the stage for future success.  The program then took off by advancing to the semifinal round of the NESCAC Tournament three times in a four-year span, which was capped by the 2009 team registering a 22-6 overall ledger and an 8-2 mark in conference play.

In addition, Edmed has coached four individuals who have combined to earn six AVCA All-America and All-America Honorable Mention awards. Prior to his arrival at Connecticut College, Edmed was the head coach at Iowa Wesleyan as well as the director of the sport management program at the college. Four players earned all-conference accolades and one earned All-America recognition during his final season on the sidelines in 2001.
