Lindsey Massicotte

Lindsey Massicotte recently completed her first season as an assistant volleyball coach at Connecticut College this fall. She is responsible for assisting head coach Josh Edmed with all aspects of the program.

Massicotte was a four-year letterwinner as a standout libero and defensive specialist at Central Connecticut State University, where she ranks ninth all-time in the program annals with 1,004 career digs. As a senior captain, she eclipsed the single-season school record for digs per set, averaging 5.27, while earning a plethora of accolades in 2017. Massicotte’s defensive prowess and 580 total digs during her final season on the court resulted in her being recognized as an All-Northeast Conference Second Team selection, a three-time conference defensive player of the week, and a member of the all-tournament team for her role in leading the Blue Devils to the championship match of the NEC Tournament.

Following a successful playing career as a collegian, Massicotte gained coaching experience as an assistant with Husky Volleyball at the club level as well as Glastonbury High School. In both roles, she was responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting practices and directing physical conditioning programs for the athletes.

A native of Meriden, Connecticut, Massicotte graduated from Central Connecticut State with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is currently pursuing her master’s in social work at Simmons College in Boston.
