Jared Cockrell is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Connecticut College men's ice hockey program.
Cockrell joins a program that returns 23 letterwinners for the 2025-26 season. His roles behind the bench include recruiting, practice preparation, video coordination, and scouting.
Cockrell played in 112 career games across four seasons with Colgate University, culminating in being named team captain during his final year. Following his time with the Raiders, he attended graduate school at St. Cloud State University, where he appeared in 30 games and helped the Huskies reach the NCAA Championship title game in 2021.
Following his collegiate career, Cockrell signed with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL, appearing in 81 career games, and recording 28 points across one and a half seasons.
A native of Kents Hill, Maine, Cockrell graduated from Colgate with a degree in Economics, before earning a master's in Business Administration from St. Cloud State. He spent the last three years working in the business world at Button and PitchBook Data.
