In this position, he assisted with recruiting, meet management, conducting practices and the training and development of the Blue Devil middle distance and distance runners.

As a collegian, he was the 2011 Northeast Conference individual champion in men’s cross country as well as the 5,000 and 10,000-meter champion at the league’s annual outdoor meet in 2012. In addition, he qualified for the 2012 NCAA Division I East Regional Championship and finished the outdoor season ranked 41st nationally in the 10,000 to cap his Blue Devil career.
After college, Alexander continued to compete and most notably placed ninth at the United States Track & Field (USATF) Cross Country Championships in Bend, Oregon in 2013. He also represented the United States at the BUPA Great Edinburgh Cross Country Race in Edinburgh Scotland as well as the North America, Central America, and Caribbean Cross Country Championships in Trinidad & Tobago in 2014.
A native of nearby Waterford, Connecticut, Alexander received his bachelor’s degree in geography from Central Connecticut State in 2012 and a master’s in urban and regional planning from the same institution in 2016.
