NEW LONDON, Conn. --The Connecticut College men's swimming and diving team hosted Middlebury College and Tufts University for a tri-meet held at a packed Lott Natatorium Saturday.
The Camels earned a 179.5-99.5 victory against Middlebury and were edged out by Tufts in a 144-135 setback. The Jumbos of Tufts posted a 183-104 victory against the Middlebury Panthers.
Junior Sam Gill (Springfield, Ill.) posted victories in a pair of events to lead the Camels in front of their home crowd. Gill posted a winning time of 47.12 seconds in the 100 yard free and triumphed in the 100 yard back with a time of 51.91 seconds.
Sophomore Bohdan Martin (West Hartford, Conn.) triumphed in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:06.33. In the 200 yard breast, Dylan Steiner (Petaluma, Calif.) posted a winning time of 2:14.54. Loring Bowen (Summit, N.J.), Patrick McGinnis (Middletown, R.I.), Drew Andre (Carlisle, Mass.) and Sam Gill teamed up for a victory in the 200 yard free relay with a time of 1:28.04.
