Hamilton College 2, Connecticut College 1: Torres nets first half goal for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Senior forward Alex Rimmer (Rye, N.Y.) netted a goal in each half to lead the visiting Hamilton College women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory against Connecticut College Saturday.

The Continentals improve their record to 4-0 with a 2-0 mark in the NESCAC. The Camels slip to 0-2 in the early season.

Junior midfielder Aina Torres (Barcelona, Spain) made a nifty move for a first half Connecticut College goal in the 24th minute of play.

With 5:20 remaining in the first half, Rimmer deposited a header off of a free kick coming from Rebecca Rees (Framingham, Mass.) into the back of the net.

Rimmer scored the difference maker in the 64th minute of action. Lauren Brady (Kent, Conn.) assisted on the eventual game-winner.

Hamilton College junior net-minder Liza Gergenti (Warwick, N.Y.) made three saves in the victory for the visitors. Sophomore keeper Natalie Signor (Glastonbury, Conn.) stopped nine shots in the setback for the hosts.
