NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College men's swimming and diving team coasted to a 206-51 victory against Wesleyan University Saturday. The Camels won all 14 events on the afternoon, improving their mark to 5-3.
Junior Sam Gill (Springfield, Ill.), Sean Paquette (Middletown, R.I.) and Dylan Steiner (Petaluma, Calif.) contributed with two wins each.
Gill triumphed in the 100 yard free as well as the 100 yard butterfly with respective times of 46.79 and 51.13 seconds. Paquette posted times of 53.24 seconds and 1:58.67 to sweep the 100 and 200 yard backstroke for the Camels. In the 200 yard individual medley and the 200 yard breaststroke, Steiner found his way into the winner's circle with times of 2:03.54 and 2:14.73.
Other winners for the Camels included Drew Andre` (Carlisle, Mass.) in the 50 yard free (22.01 seconds), Cam Johnson (Westford, Mass.) in the 100 yard breast (1:01.36), Bo Martin (West Hartford, Conn.) in the 200 yard free (1:47.75), Loring Bowen (Summit, N.J.) in the 200 yard fly (1:59.74), Kirk Czelewicz (Lowell, Mass.) in the 500 yard freestyle (5:01.67) and Kevin Saunders (Wethersfield, Conn.) in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:26.02).
In the 400 yard freestyle relay, the Camel quartet consisting of Cam Johnson, Loring Bowen, Drew Andre` and Sam Gill posted a winning time of 3:19.08. Bowen, Dylan Steiner, Gill and Andre` tacked on another Camel triumph in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 3:36.36.
The Camels will Trinity College this Monday for a 1:00 p.m. dual meet at Lott Natatorium.
