Williams College 3, Connecticut College 0 Johnson Buries 10 Kills for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Williams College volleyball earned a 3-0 victory against Connecticut College in a NESCAC match played at Luce Field House Saturday.

The set scores were 25-22, 26-24 and 25-17 in favor of the Ephs. Williams, ranked #1 in New England, improved to 18-3 with a 7-1 mark in conference play. The Camels, ranked #14 in New England, fell to 10-9 while evening their record at 4-4 in the NESCAC.

Senior outside hitter Claire Miller (Wilmette, Ill.) buried 14 kills while adding nine digs, hitting an impressive .478 in the triumph for the Ephs. Tori Jasuta (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) had 14 digs of her own, adding seven digs and one ace for Williams. Ryan Farley (La Jolla, Calif.) dished out 38 assists for the winning side.

Caitie Benell (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) registered nine digs for Williams.

Connecticut College sophomore Ella Johnson (Seal Beach, Calif.) rifled home 10 kills with just one error on 18 swings to hit .500 in the match.  Sam Hunter (Palos Verdes, Calif.) chipped in with five kills and six digs.  Emily Arterbury (Austin, Texas) doled out 23 assists in the setback.

Junior libero Cailyn Straubel (Dallas, Texas) contributed with seven digs in the contest.
