Connecticut College 3, Eastern Connecticut State University 2 Hunter Tallies 11 Kills & Five Digs for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College volleyball team earned a 3-2 victory against Eastern Connecticut State University in a closely contested battle played at Luce Field House Wednesday night.

The Camels improved their record to 13-9 with their third consecutive win, while the Warriors had their three match winning streak suspended, falling to 15-14 in the setback.

The set scores were 15-25, 25-19, 25-22, 20-25 and 15-13 in favor of the hosts.

Connecticut College rookie right side hitter Sam Hunter (Palos Verdes, Calif.) registered 11 kills, five digs in the triumph. Gabby Taylor (Austin, Texas) chipped in with 10 kills, six digs, two blocks and one assist for the Camels.  Emily Arterbury (Austin, Texas) dished out 22 assist to go with three aces and two digs.

Chloe Ainley (San Jose, Calif.) registered 26 digs and five assist for the Camels.

Sophomore outside hitter Adrianna Mihalek (Woodbury, Conn.) buried 19 kills to go with 10 digs and two aces for the visiting Warriors. Ashley Adams (Mystic, Conn.) registered 12 kills and  two blocks in the setback for Eastern Connecticut. Senior setter Allie Henry (Middletown, Conn.) dished out 43 assists while adding six digs and three kills in the contest.
