REDLANDS, Calif.--The Connecticut College women's water polo team is visiting the West Coast this week.
The Camels (4-3) dropped their first two matches in the Golden State of California today. The Camels fell to the University of Redlands in a 10-7 decision before dropping a 4-3 match to Washington and Jefferson College.
Isabelle Baneux (Ithaca, N.Y.) had one goal, two assists and three steals in the loss to Redlands. Kate Jacobson (Collegeville, Pa.), the reigning Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Player of the Week, finished with two goals and two assists.
Abbey Wrobleski (Honolulu, Hawaii) chipped in with two goals, one assist and a pair of earned ejections for the Camels.
Sophomore Kelsey Millward (Baie-d'Urfe, Quebec) registered a goal, a steal and one blocked shot in the loss. Nicky Jasbon (Greenacres, Fla.) added a goal and a steal. Brianna Harrity (Jeffersonville, Pa.) contributed with a steal.
Ashley Amey (Napa, Calif.) stopped five shots in three quarters of action while Sarah Sovia (Pottstown, Pa.) contributed with three saves in relief duty.
In the loss to Washington and Jefferson, Jasbon contributed two goals, six steals and a pair of earned ejections.
Wrobleski chipped in with a goal and four steals while Jacobson finished with five earned ejections and a steal.
Susan Doetsch (Arnold, Md.) contributed with three saves and an assist for the Camels.
