Camels Honor Seniors, Drop Pair of Northern Division Matches

NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College men's water polo team hosted two more Northern Division matches Saturday.

The Camels (1-14) dropped a 17-3 decision to Brown University in the morning before closing out the day with a 21-11 loss to Iona College.

Sophomore Dylan Pinckert (Long Beach, Calif.) had a hat-trick with three goals, one assist and one field block in the loss to the Iona Gaels. Isaih Porter (La Jolla, Calif.) had a goal and four assists.  William Bogle V (Weston, Mass.) had one goal and a pair of field blocks.

Junior Henry McMillan (New York, N.Y.) tallied two goals and one assist.   Paul MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass.) chipped in with one goal, one assist and one field block.  Junior Karan Das-Grande (Menlo Park, Calif.) had one goal and one steal.  Sophomores Daniel Seo (Lakewood, Calif.) and Stephan Cress (Rockford, Mich.) contributed with single tallies.

Aiden Kelso (Washington, D.C.) tallied one assist. Alec Ifshin added one steal in the loss. Senior Daniel Albers made seven saves and recorded three steals. 

Earlier in the day, sophomore Matt Wagman (Needham, Mass.) recorded six stops against Brown in his first start in the cage. Kelso, McMillan and Das-Grande accounted for the goal scoring. Chase Lesniak (Barrington, Ill.) and Cress had assists. Jake Pescatore (New Haven, Conn.) induced a pair of turnovers. Das-Grande, Ifshin, McMillan, Smith, and Kelso all finished with one steal. Andrew Bullis (Baltimore, Md.), Kelso, Cress and Seo added field blocks.

#1 Daniel Albers Psychology

The last line of defense, Daniel Albers' courageous play in the cage has earned the admiration of his coaches and teammates. A leader and team captain, Albers has accounted for 91 saves, 15 steals and six assists in his senior season between the pipes. Albers has been honored as a CWPA Scholar Athlete on two occasions. He has also volunteered his time in the community at the Benny Dover Middle School and at the Connecticut College preschool. Albers is interested in pursuing a career as a clinical psychologist.

#5 William Bogle V Economics, Astronomy Minor

A versatile performer, Bogle has come up with big plays in all areas of the pool. He has scored three goals this season, adding six steals and two clutch field blocks. Bogle is also a member of the golf club. He enjoys fantasy sports and is interested in pursuing a career in financial ser­vices.

#10 Andrew Bullis Biochemistry, Cellular & Molecular Biology

A key member of the Camel defense, Bullis has collected three steals and provided two field blocks while adding one assist. Bullis is a volunteer with the Connecticut College Emergency Medical Services Club. He also helped start the Connecticut College fish pole project, which is a program that sells baked goods and uses the proceeds to buy animals through the Heifer project. Bullis plans on attending veterinary school in the near future. 

#19 Paul MacMullin Behavioral Neuroscience

A clutch offensive performer, MacMullin has scored nine goals this season and has also contrib­uted with two assists and three steals. MacMullin is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician on campus. He is working towards a position in healthcare and research. MacMullin is also a member of the Student Advisory Board for psychology and neuroscience. He holds a leadership post as the president and founder of the club volleyball team.
