Northern Division Championship: MacMullin Records Hat Trick Against Harvard

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--The Connecticut College men's water polo team is competing in the Northern Division Championship at Brown University this weekend. 

The Camels (1-17) dropped their first two matches against Division I foes. Second seeded Harvard University defeated the Camels 20-9 in the early match. In the second round, the Camels dropped a 13-6 decision to fourth seeded Fordham.

The Camels will close out the day with a 7:30 p.m. match against the sixth seeded Gaels from Iona College.

Senior Paul MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass.) had three goals, one assist and a pair of field blocks in the loss to the Crimson. Stephan Cress (Rockford, Mich.) chipped in with two goals. Junior Henry McMillan (New York, N.Y.) sandwiched a pair of an assists around his one goal scored.

William Bogle V (Weston, Mass.) had one goal and one field block for the Camels. Jake Smith (Baltimore, Md.) and Isaih Porter (La Jolla, Calif.) both contributed scores for Connecticut College.   Sophomore Dylan Pinckert (Long Beach, Calif.), Daniel Seo (Lakewood, Calif.), Alec Ifshin (Armonk, N.Y.), Jake Pescatore (New Haven, Conn.) and Johnathan Evanilla (Claremont, Calif.) all contributed with assists in the setback.  

Sophomore Enzo Cerrutti (Weston, Mass.) was a defensive standout in the match, finishing with two steals.

Senior Daniel Albers (Aloha, Ore.) made three saves in the opening quarter of action. Sophomore Matthew Wagman (Needham, Mass.) made four stops while adding one steal in relief duty.

In the loss to the Fordham Rams, Pinckert had two goals; one assist and one steal to lead the Camels. Aiden Kelso (Washington, D.C.) contributed with one goal, one assist and a pair of steals. Chase Lesniak (Barrington, Ill.), McMillan and Karan Das-Grande (Menlo Park, Calif.) all found the back of the net with single markers for the Camels.  

Cress dished out one assist.  Porter recorded a pair of field blocks with one steals.  Bogle made one steal while Ifshin added one field block for the Camels.

Wagman turned aside eight shots and had one assist. Three of his eight saves occurred in shorthanded situations.
