GROVE CITY, Pa.--The Connecticut College women's water polo team earned a 12-7 victory against Grove City College in the second round of the Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Championship hosted by Grove City College Saturday.
The Camels improve to 17-13 with the triumph. They will play in tonight's championship match at 6:30 p.m. against the winner of the Washington & Jefferson/Carthage College match. The Wolverines fell to 7-10 with the setback.
Senior All-American Nicky Jasbon (Greenacres, Fla.) paced the Camels in the victory, finishing with four goals, three assists, one steal and one field block. Isabelle Baneux (Ithaca, N.Y.) checked in with three goals, one assist and a pair of steals. Junior Abbey Wrobleski (Honolulu, Hawaii) had two goals, three assists and two steals.
Senior All-American Kate Jacobson (Collegeville, Pa.) chipped in with her 53rd and 54th goal of the season, adding one theft and one field block. Kelsey Millward (Baie D'Urfe, Quebec) had two assists and three steals in the triumph. Emma Stephens (Huntington Beach, Calif.) contributed with a goal for the Camels.
Shannon Cry (Moneterey, Calif.) had one assist and one steal. Brianna Harrity (Jeffersonville, Pa.) had one steal for the Camels.
Junior Ashley Amey (Napa, Calif.) stopped six shots while adding one assist. Sophomore Susan Doetsch (Arnold, Md.) had three saves and one assist in relief duty.
