NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College women's water polo team hosted Division I Brown University at Lott Natatorium Tuesday night.
The visiting Bears (16-12) secured a 10-6 victory against the Camels (15-13). Now, Connecticut College will prepare for the Division III Championship at Grove City College this weekend. Connecticut College has won the Division III crown in each of the past two seasons and is hoping for a three-peat in the Keystone State this weekend.
Senior All-American Kate Jacobson (Collegeville, Pa.) scored two goals and added one assist and a pair of steals and two field blocks in Tuesday night's home tilt. Classmate and fellow All-American Nicky Jasbon (Greenacres, Fla.) had one goal, one assist, and two blocks. Kelsey Millward (Baie D'Urfe, Quebec) sandwiched a goal around a pair of assists and added one field block for the hosts.
Senior Isabelle Baneux (Ithaca, N.Y.) had one goal, one assist and one field block in the loss. Abbey Wrobleski (Honolulu, Hawaii) chipped in with a goal. April Anderson (Mill Valley, Calif.) had one assist. Shannon Cry (Monterey, Calif.) and Brianna Harrity (Jeffersonville, Pa.) recorded two steals each.
Junior Ashley Amey (Napa, Calif.) finished with seven saves while sophomore Susan Doetsch (Arnold, Md.) had three.
