Box Score NEW LONDON, Conn.—Hamilton College earned a 3-2 victory against Connecticut College in a re-match of a 2015 NESCAC Quarterfinal played in New London last winter.
Connecticut College out-lasted the Continentals in overtime to earn their first NESCAC post-season win in overtime back on February 28, 2015, 4-3.
Hamilton (9-3-1, 5-2-1 NESCAC) extended its winning streak to six with the 3-2 win tonight. Senior forward Kenny Matheson (Point-Claire, Quebec) and Robbie Murden (Georgetown, Ontario) supplied second period scores for the visitors. Sophomore forward Neil Conway (Marshfield, Mass.) potted what would prove to be the game-winning tally with 5:42 remaining in regulation.
Connecticut College senior Tim DiPretoro (Philadelphia, Pa.) and junior Joe Giordano (Ellington, Conn.) both contributed with a goal and an assist for the Camels in the setback. Joe Birmingham (Medford, N.J.) chipped in with two assists for the hosts (3-8-2, 0-5-2 NESCAC).
Sophomore net-minder Evan Buitenhuis (Burlington, Ontario) finished with 20 saves in goal for the visitors. Senior Tom Conlin (Norwood, Mass.) made 27 saves between the pipes for the Camels.
