NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College men's basketball team cruised to a 112-81 victory against the Coast Guard in the latest meeting of Route 32 rivals at Luce Field House Sunday.

Winners in seven of their past eight outings, the Camels shot a scorching 61% from long distance while maintaining a 46-28 advantage on the backboards.

Senior co-captain Bo McKinley (Westport, N.Y.) poured in 17 of his game-high 20 points in the first half, connecting on 6-for-7 shots from three-point range. David Labossiere (Stoneham, Mass.) finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists, connecting on 8-of-13 shots from the field in the triumph.  Tyler Rowe (East Hartford, Conn.) was 8-for-12 from the field en route to his 18 points.

Junior co-captain Zuri Pavlin (New York, N.Y.) chipped in with 16 point and nine boards down on the block, knocking down seven-of-10 shots from the floor.  Sean McNally (Hanover, Mass.) reached double-digits with 12 points while junior Daniel Janel (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) ripped down 10 rebounds for the winning side.

"Obviously, we shot really well and for a while we needed every bucket to stay in the game because we couldn't defend Coast Guard or rebound with them," Connecticut College Head Men's Basketball Coach Tom Satran said. "In the second half we improved somewhat in those areas and were able to build the lead."

The Coast Guard kept it close in the opening half and trailed by just five points at the break, 49-44.  Adrian Chuquillangui (Manassas, Va.) had 15 points to lead the visitors. Sophomore Micah Baldez (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.) finished 13 points and two assists. Ricky Rodriguez (Caracas, Venezuela) netted 12 points.

Ethan Boose (New Philadelphia, Ohio) and Nolan Benson (Lexington, N.C.) reached double-figures with 10 points each.

The Camels opened the second half with a 19-to-5 run over the opening 5:58 of the stanza to build a 68-49 lead on the Bears. Pavlin was everywhere, netting 10 of his 17 points during the run and Doug Henton (New London, Conn.) capped the rally with 14:02 to go, knocking down a pair of free throws.

Later on in the half, the Camels put together a 15-0 run that was capped by a Pavlin hoop and some harm with 8:24 remaining in regulation that made it an 86-56 game.

The Camels continued to pull away for the 112-81 win.

Connecticut College was 42-for-73 from the field (58%) in the contest and shot 88% from the foul line (14-for-16).

The Bears will look to bounce back when they visit Wheaton College Wednesday night for a 6:00 p.m. game in Norton, Mass.

The Camels will host Hamilton Friday night for a 7:00 p.m. NESCAC game in the Whaling City.
