PASADENA, Calif.--The Connecticut College women's water polo team picked up two key wins on the West Coast today, improving their record to 6-3.

In the early match, the Camels defeated Macalester College 10-9. In the second match, Connecticut College battled back to take an 11-10 victory against Cal Tech in overtime.

"Our team played well for a hot sunny day, playing two games in two and a half hours," Connecticut College Head Men's and Women's Water Polo Coach Matt Anderson said. "We were glad to have a great comeback versus the home team Cal Tech even though we were dead tired! It was a very good day for us."

Senior All-American Kelsey Millward (Baie D'Urfe, Quebec), sophomore Emma Stephens (Huntington Beach, Calif.) and Sophia Soriano (Summerland, Calif.) all contributed with two goals in the victory against Macalester. Senior Abbey Wrobleski (Honolulu, Hawaii), Brianna Harrity (Jeffersonville, Pa.) and sophomore April Anderson (Mill Valley, Calif.) chipped in with single tallies for the Camels. Junior net-minder Sarah Sovia (Pottstown, Pa.) made seven saves in the cage.

In the comeback victory against Cal Tech., Millward exploded with five goals for the Camels. Anderson had a hat-trick with three goals scored in the triumph. Wrobleski and Stephens had two goals each for the victors. Sovia was impressive in the cage, finishing with 13 saves for Connecticut College.

The Camels will host the Brown University Bears this Wednesday night for a 7:00 p.m. match in New London.
