NEW LONDON, Conn. – Sophomore Anthony Quatieri (Peabody, Mass.) set up two goals, including the game-winning marker, in leading the Connecticut College men's ice hockey team to a 5-3 triumph over Salem State on Saturday afternoon at the Charles B. Luce Field House. The Camels won for the third time in five days to extend their winning streak to a season-high four games.

For the second straight home game, junior assistant captain Brett Stirling (Aurora, Ontario) put the Camels on the board less than a minute into the game. After sniping a shot to the back of the net just 25 seconds into the Worcester State contest, the defender cleaned up a rebound attempt 30 seconds into the game to get the puck past the Viking netminder.

After junior Greg Pezza (Greenville, R.I.) doubled the Camel lead early in the second, Salem State (2-9-2) struck for the first of three times on the power play when Eamonn Miller found the back of the net at 12:46. The hosts, however, recovered by scoring three times in less than 14 minutes between the second and third periods. Creamer started the run by redirecting a shot from the left point by senior Rory Garlasco (Wayne, N.J.) before Quatieri helped set up two tallies in less than five minutes to make it 5-1 at the 8:18 mark of the third, giving the hosts more than enough insurance to come away with the win.

Senior Avery Gobbo (Mississauga, Ontario) picked up the win for Connecticut College by making 34 saves. Joona Sato-Hunsula suffered the loss despite matching Gobbo's effort between the pipes with 34 stops.

Connecticut College (6-5) will wrap up non-conference play when it visits Nichols on Tuesday evening at 6:40 p.m.
