HARRISVILLE, R.I. – The Connecticut College men's ice hockey team dropped a non-conference game to Nichols by a 3-1 score at Levy Rink on Tuesday evening. The Bison scored once in the first period and twice in the third to snap the Camels' four-game winning streak which dated back to early December.

Nichols netted the lone goal of the first period just 6:39 into the contest on a failed wraparound attempt along the boards by the Camel defense. Kyle McDonald controlled the puck behind the net and found an open Lucas Andersson at the top of the slot to make it 1-0 in favor of the Bison.

The visitors knotted the score in the second period when sophomores Colin Stevens (Concord, N.H.) and Steven Senese (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) teamed up to find junior Jacob Moreau (Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec) for his third marker of the season at 11:33, but that was all the scoring they could put together over the course of the evening.

J.B. Baker helped put the Bison ahead for good in the third period by stealing the puck in the neutral zone and sending it to Hogan Davidson, who found Justin Perron for a breakaway goal with just 1:18 to play. Frank Zak then put the game out of reach by burying an empty net goal as senior netminder Connor Rodericks (Buzzards Bay, Mass.) was making his way to the bench at 19:14.

Connecticut College (6-6) returns to Dayton Arena for a four-game homestand against NESCAC opponents when it first faces Amherst on Friday night at 7 p.m.
