NEW LONDON, Conn.
– The Connecticut College sailing team hosted Boston College in a head-to-head regatta on the Thames River on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Harris Padegs (Buffalo, N.Y.) and sophomore Margaret Benson (Wellesley, Mass.) led the Camels by winning the opening race and finishing fifth among 18 scoring pairs between the two schools. Aili Moffet (Jamestown, R.I.) and senior Charlotte Williams (Cambridge, Mass.) paired up to finish as the top women's boat, placing sixth in the overall field.

Several freshmen raced for the first time and showed great promise, which included Fritz Baldauf (San Francisco, Calif.), Ashley Breyer (Middletown, R.I.), Cecilia Bohan (Newport, R.I.), Anna Olsen (Falmouth, Mass.), and Andrew Powers (Rye, N.Y.).

"It was great to get the Camels back on the water to compete against a great Boston College team," said head coach Jeff Bresnahan. "We are excited to get back to practice, make a few adjustments, and host the Eagles again next weekend to close out our fall season."

The Camels' next and final race against Boston College is slated to take place on the Thames next weekend.
