BRUNSWICK, Maine - Senior goalkeeper
Jackie Mountford (New London, N.H.) made 13 saves on the day, yet the Connecticut College field hockey team fell to No. 12 Bowdoin by a score of 6-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Bowdoin (10-3, NESCAC 6-3) got ahead early on two first quarter goals by Faith Jennings in the 13th and 15th minutes and the Camels were unable to catch up. The Bears continued to apply pressure throughout the remainder of the game and Jennings scored again in the second quarter to complete a natural hat trick, while she paced her team in shots with a total of six.

The Camels had a scoring opportunity in the fourth quarter as sophomore
Kylee Quinn (Sandwich, Mass.) registered a shot on goal, but the save was made by Bowdoin goalkeeper Julia Arsenault and shut down the lone scoring opportunity for the Camels on the day.

Maddie Ferrucci was credited with the win without having to make a save during the first three quarters for Bowdoin. Arsenault made one stop after entering the game in the fourth quarter, as the Bears outshot the Camels by a 24-1 margin and had a 12-6 advantage in penalty corners. Mountford earned the loss for Connecticut College despite totaling 13 saves on the day.

Connecticut College (1-10, NESCAC 0-8) will next host No. 5 Babson for a non-conference matchup on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
