NEW LONDON, Conn. - Junior
Julien Legros (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) factored into four winning performances in leading the Connecticut College men's swimming & diving team to a win against Roger Williams, 202-86, at the Lott Natatorium on Saturday afternoon.
Legros won the 50 and 100-yard freestyle in times of 21.32 and 47.77 seconds, respectively. He also swam on both of the winning relays for the Camels. He first swam the freestyle leg on the 200 medley relay which finished in 1:36.74 and also including junior Mitch Lockwod (Winchester, Mass.), senior Aj Steininger (Manhattan, N.Y.), and junior
Sean Geisler (New Paltz, N.Y.). Legros then swam the third leg of the 400 free relay which touched the wall in 3:13.90 and included freshman
Justin Finkel, Lockwood, and junior
Marc Stern (Chappaqua, N.Y.).
Four other Camels each won two individual events. Senior
Josh Franco (Weston, Conn.) won the 1,000 free and 500 free in 10:06.91 and 4:55.78, and sophomore
Matthew Laclef (Bethesda, Md.) was victorious in the 200 free and 200 back in 1:48.04 and 1:59.88. Freshman
Andrew Bartolomucci took the 200 fly and 100 fly in 1:57.89 and 53.35, while junior
Kai Listgarten (San Mateo, Calif.) won both diving events with 1-meter and 3-meter scores of 261.45 and 231.60.
Connecticut College (2-0) will resume competition at the beginning of the New Year on January 7, 2022 against Grinnell in Naples, Florida.
